Using control file / using command file
The tables to be processed with R3trans can be specified by using a control file or a command file (= transport of copies).
The decision is relevant for using the parallelism of R3trans when importing a file, which can significantly shorten the runtime. Parallelism with R3trans can only be achieved by using a command file! Please note that in order to use the parallelism of the R3trans import, the file must already have been exported with a command file.
In a command file no "where condition" can be used, so for tables with a "where condition" the control file is used.
